Welcome to Dina Krushna College, Jaleswar!

Established in 1964 as North Balasore College in a remote rural area on the border of Odisha and West Bengal, the institution has been a beacon of higher education for the region. Since its inception, it has consistently catered to the academic aspirations of rural students, fostering their socio-economic and cultural development. In 1968, the college was renamed Dinakrushna College in honour of the eminent Odia poet Dinakrushna Das, reflecting its commitment to preserving local literary heritage.

From an initial enrolment of 128 students, the college has evolved into a full-fledged institution offering Arts, Science, and Commerce streams at the +2 and +3 levels. It provides Honours teaching across a wide range of disciplines and has recently expanded with the introduction of Computer Science and other contemporary programmes. The campus is equipped with a rich library, modern laboratories, hostels, a conference hall, and other academic facilities that support an effective learning environment.

In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the college has adopted multidisciplinary approaches, skill-based education, and student-centric pedagogies. It actively promotes holistic development through NSS, NCC, Red Cross, and an IGNOU Study Centre.

Committed to quality enhancement, the institution has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to ensure continuous academic and administrative improvement in line with NAAC guidelines. The college emphasizes outcome-based education, research orientation, digital learning, and transparent governance practices. Efforts are also being made towards data-driven performance, student progression, and institutional benchmarking in the spirit of NIRF.

Now affiliated with Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Dinakrushna College continues to strive for excellence, aiming to achieve higher standards of accreditation and recognition while serving as a centre of inclusive and transformative education.
